Specialisations

Specialisations determine the more impactful things your Jack is capable of in dreams. You start at level 1 in a specialisation and level up as you interact with more dreams and learn to harness your specialisation better.

There are a large number of specialisations to choose from. They are loosely categorised by the Æther that they rely on the most, but there is nothing to say that you can't switch up your Æthers and specialisation.

The Lucidity specialisations are the: Temple, Mountain, Shifter, Circus and Ego.

The Mentality specialisations are the: Architect, Chronomancer, Forge, Mechanic, and Meteorologist.

The Empathy specialisations are the: Detective, Influence, Doctor, Puppeteer, and Menagerie.

Lucidity Specialisations

Temple

The Temple is the embodiment of the phrase "my body is a temple". They are resilient to anything that could modify their body and use this body to the highest of it's capabilities.

Mountain

The Mountain strives to be the biggest and most imposing Jack to enter a dream. They tend to treat every problem as a nail that simply a bigger hammer is likely to solve.

Shifter

The Shifter can morph their body into any form of animal. They use this to gain advantages in any dream environment.

Circus

The Circus is the pinnacle of coordination and is capable of overcoming most physical feats. They are a Jack with a variety of skills that can help in any situation.

Ego

The Ego has so much control over their body that they don't even need to occupy it. They split their dream self into its physical and mental forms.

Mentality Specialisations

Architect

The Architect is a master at manipulating the structure of the dream environment to their benefit. They can create doorways to hidden areas or create a set of stairs as a getaway path.

Chronomancer

The Chronomancer manipulates time within the dream. They use this to speed up other Jacks while slowing down their enemies, or perhaps they use this to age objects in order to shine light on the future.

Forge

The Forge manipulates weaponry to give huge advantages to themself and other Jacks in combat. They also have a wider range of weapons they can switch between.

Mechanic

The Mechanic brings a vehicle with them into dreams that they can customise. They are also much more adept in dealing with mechanical aspects of the dream.

Meteorologist

The Meteorologist harnesses weather within the dream. They have a high level of control over the elements and use them to solve problems.

Empathy Specialisations

Detective

The Detective uses their acute perception of the occupants and features of a dream to gain greater insights into the mark's life, goals and secrets.

Influence

The Influence gets the occupants on their side, persuading them to reveal the deeper motivations of the mark and provide access to further reaches of a dream with minimal trouble.

Doctor

The Doctor is great and putting objects and Jacks back together. They excel at removing conditions and restoring Jacks to their original forms.

Puppeteer

The Puppeteer is the master manipulator, taking control of occupants and using them against their own mark. I wonder how useful these same powers would be on other Jacks.

Menagerie

The Menagerie creates mystical creature to fight alongside them. They also use these creatures to solve puzzles and reach places they otherwise couldn't.
